NYP - Hudson Valley Hospital Center (HVHC) is located in the Lower Hudson Valley about 10 minutes from the Bear Mountain Bridge. The hospital features all private rooms with flat screen TVs and cooked to order food. There is a dedicated Orthopedic Floor with certified Orthopedic Nurses. NYP - HVHC is also one of the only “Magnet hospitals” between New York City and Albany. Magnet is a designation for nursing excellence earned by only four percent of hospitals nationwide.
During the past few years, NYP - HVHC has won numerous awards, building on its reputation for excellence and creating an environment in which employees thrive. The hospital's success starts at the top and permeates every level. In addition to the Magnet designation, it is the first hospital in New York State to receive the Fire Starter Award from the Studer Group, an award based on quality, service, people, finance, and growth. Last year, Forbes magazine recognized the hospital with its Enterprise Award, given for innovative ideas in the field of healthcare.
But the accolades don’t stop there. Employee satisfaction ranks in the 96th percentile nationwide and the 99th percentile in the Hudson Valley — the highest percentage attainable since there is no 100th percent! These figures are just part of the reason why HVHC has been named “One of the Top 10 Best Places to Work” by Westchester magazine. Patients have responded favorably as well, with satisfaction scores consistently ranking in the top 10 percent nationwide. (Source: Hospital Newsletter)
